Apply for the ACRO Diversity and Inclusion Site Resource Grants Program

Mission

ACRO invites submissions for its new Diversity and Inclusion Site Resource Grants Program. The ACRO D&I Site Resource Grants Program aims to help sites interested in improving trial inclusivity—who have the potential to contribute to diverse enrollment—acquire the resources and skills that will get them selected for studies and improve the reach of clinical research into underrepresented communities. The grants will act as seed funding that allows sites to demonstrate proof-of-concept on projects aimed at increasing diversity.

Applicant Eligibility 

The ACRO D&I Site Resource Grants Program is open to:

  • Less experienced community sites that need upskilling and/or other support to attract industry studies and,
  • Experienced sites seeking to increase the pool of the diverse participants they enroll on studies

Grant Criteria

Along with the above eligibility, grant awardees must meet the following criteria:

  • Alignment with the mission of the ACRO D&I Site Resource Grants Program.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated need for the grant funds.
  • A clearly defined project that would support the goal of the Grant Program.

Geographic Eligibility

The Grant Program is available to sites located within the United States.

Award Budget

ACRO will award 5 grants of $50,000.

FAQs

How long will the application be available?

The application will be open from April 15, 2024 – May 31, 2024.

What will the application process be like?

After the application closing date, the Grant Program Manager and Steering Committee will review all applications and select a number of sites to move onto the second-round interview. Interviews will take place in the latter half of June. Once the interviews are complete the Program Manager and Steering Committee will select the five sites that will be awarded the grant funds.

When will the grant funds be awarded?

Grant funds will be awarded by early July.

How long will the pilot projects run?

The ACRO D&I Site Resource Grants Program is intended to support a 12-month pilot project that will serve as an incubator for innovative approaches to improving diverse enrollment.
