Executive Vice President and General Manager of Oracle Health and Life Sciences
Seema Verma is the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Oracle Health and Life Sciences. In her role, she oversees Oracle’s clinical applications, as well as the company’s portfolio of clinical trial applications. Seema spearheads the delivery of Oracle Health’s next-generation EHR. She is also focused on leveraging advances in AI and cloud computing to bridge the gap between clinical research and clinical care to help accelerate the development and delivery of life changing treatments for patients who need them.
Early in her career, Seema was the Vice President of Corporate Planning at the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County. In 2001, she founded SVC Inc., a health policy consulting firm responsible for supporting private and public sector healthcare organizations.
In 2017, Seema was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on a bipartisan basis to serve as the Administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). In this role, she oversaw a budget of over $1 trillion and more than 6,000 employees. She was responsible for the federal operations of Medicare, Medicaid, Health Insurance Exchanges, and federal quality and safety regulations.
Seema’s commitment to improving healthcare goes beyond her work at Oracle Health. She also serves as a USC Schaeffer Center Advisory Board Member at the University of Southern California and a Board Advisor at Tapestry Health.
In 2025, Seema was recognized as one of Modern Healthcare’s “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare.” She has also been named to Modern Healthcare’s “Top 25 Women Leaders in Healthcare” list. Seema has published her industry insights in numerous publications, such as the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Health Affairs, Newsweek, CNN, USA Today, STAT, and others.
Seema graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s in Life Sciences. She received a master of Public Health in Health Policy and Administration from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.
