ACRO Welcomes Nomination of Califf As FDA Commissioner

Washington, D.C.  – Doug Peddicord, PhD, Executive Director of the Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO), today issued the following statement regarding President Obama’s nomination of Dr. Robert Califf to serve as the next Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration:

“ACRO welcomes the nomination of Dr. Califf as FDA Commissioner. We have worked closely with Rob through the Clinical Trials Transformation Initiative and other collaborations and look forward to having a FDA Commissioner who understands and appreciates the critical role clinical research organizations play in today’s drug development process.
